Paterson educator, Nakeia Wimberly, and Sarah Sterling-Laldee, Supervisor of Science, at Paterson Public School 2 in Paterson, New Jersey are profiled in this article via northjersey.com. Wimberly and Sterling-Laldee are the winners of the 2017 Columbia Sportswear Scholarship.

The scholarship provides: 

  • Two full conference and/or Research Symposium registrations

  • A $2,000 鈥済ear closet鈥 for the teacher's school donated by Columbia, chock-full of equipment that will help get kids outside, as well as backpacks for the teacher and administrator

  • One-year professional membership in NAAEE for the teacher
